  • 02/00: Retired as CEO of Kern Bridges Youth Homes
     

  • 07/99: Developed a State Licensed adoptions program
     

  • 08/98: Developed a collaborative “Kool Off” emergency shelter program

    • Developed a Community Education Program to provide trainings for foster parents, group home staff, social workers and MFTs
       

  • 06/97: Developed a level-12 group home for boys ages 6 to 12
     

  • 1992:  Co-founded The Consortium of Out of Home Care Providers (with a supervisor at our Department of Social Services)

    • This was a consortium of the local FFAs and group homes that met monthly with representatives of DSS and Juvenile Probation to discuss and resolve mutual concerns

    • Served as Chairman until 6/99
       

  • 1991:  Kern Bridges Youth Homes joined and was accredited by the California Association of Services for Children

    • As CEO of Kern Bridges, was required to perform accreditation reviews of prospective members and the triennial re-accreditations of other member agencies
       

  • 04/87:  Founder and Executive Director of Kern Bridges Youth Homes.  A Foster Family Agency

    • Organization of a non-profit, tax-exempt entity including recruitment of a Board of Directors

    • Develop a license application.  Recruit, train, certify and supervise foster homes

    • Recruit and staff and develop programs to serve the special needs of foster children in Kern County
       

  • 07/86: Terminate contract for JPPS, which was transferred to another agency and still exists
     

  • 02/85: Founder and Director of Juvenile Probation Psychiatric Services

    • Contract  with Kern Mental Health

    • Developed a comprehensive psychiatric service for residents of Juvenile Hall and Kern Youth  Facility

    • Hire, train and supervise treatment staff

    • Manage Treatment teams

    • Administrator
       

  • 10/72: Consultant to Kern County Juvenile Probation

    • By contract

    • Client  evaluations, staff training consultation at two residential facilities:

  • 07/72: Reduced to half-time at Child Guidance to devote more time to private practice, Individual, family, couple and group psychotherapy, consultation and education
